SHADOW BAN SEPTEMBER N.1 / 2025
Original oil painting on canvas.
7,4'' x 9'' inch.
Unique work signed on the front.
In these paintings, male shadows are cast on the wall and floor by natural light. They are fragile traces of a body that seems to be there, but at the same time fades away. The shadow becomes a metaphor for an existence that fails to assert itself: a self that fades away, that cannot connect with the outside world, that is ignored as if under a shadow ban imposed by others. These figures speak of feeling like a ghost, of inhabiting a space from a place of absence, of a loneliness that erases contours until only the uncertain trace of what once wanted to be a presence remains.
